Hang It Up

There are many provisions of the Constitution that made perfect sense in 1787 but may no longer be as necessary today:  an Electoral College, a bicameral legislature, a vague Article II.  But what about lifetime tenure for federal judges?  A Georgia State law professor thinks it's time to limit the terms of federal judges.  Your thoughts?

The case for hanging it up

  1. In a way I feel that the constitution has been amended in favor of the Supreme Court justices. The fact that they get to pick and choose when to retire and how long they them too power in a sense. The Founding Father didn't intend for the Supreme Court to have this ability and for them to have them have the final say in a final veto with juciacial review. The Founding Fathers had intentions for this not to happen for a reason and I feel like it was out of our systems way to amend that
